COMPLETE
SURVEYING
TECHNIQUES

Capturing the intricate details of historical buildings and facades is crucial for preserving cultural heritage. Our advanced surveying techniques ensure that every aspect, from grand architectural elements to delicate ornaments, is meticulously documented.
Our contactless close-range scanners enable us to capture complex, three-dimensional structures with exceptional precision.

In this example, we documented the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Trade for preservation.
The building, constructed between 1900 and 1902 features a rich blend of Gothic elements in the Heimatstil. Its five-story facade boasts stepped gables, roof turrets, balcony loggias, and windows with shutters framed by Gothic tracery.

HIGH-
RESOLUTION
VISUALIZATIONS

The point cloud datasets, triangulated polygon meshes, or parametric BIM models generated from the captured data provide a detailed representation of the building's facade. These models offer invaluable insights into the condition and structure of the historic elements, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions about maintenance and conservation.

In the image below, you can see a mesh, which is a collection of vertices, edges, and faces that define the shape of the 3D object. Additionally, high-resolution texture details are reprojected onto the mesh, providing a precise and detailed visualization of the facade for perfect high-resolution visualizations.

A mosaic on the first floor, designed by Alfons Siber in 1906, depicts allegories of agriculture, metal and woodwork, trade, and industry. Inside, a wall painting by Albin Egger-Lienz from 1924 adorns the walls.

DIGITAL TOOLS
FOR HERITAGE SITES

The captured data is crucial not only for preserving the building's aesthetic and historical value but also for facilitating potential inspections and maintenance in the future.

In addition to delivering traditional formats such as plans, orthogonal views, and BIM models, our platform offers a robust remote inspection and monitoring system for cultural heritage assets. This enables stakeholders to virtually visit, inspect, and analyze the site from anywhere in the world. With our state-of-the-art remote inspection platform, we ensure that historical buildings can be meticulously preserved, regularly monitored, and efficiently maintained, safeguarding their legacy for future generations.

24/7 GLOBAL
ACCESS

The first innovative use of digital tools for cultural heritage is remote inspection. This process utilizes a highly optimized, web-based 3D viewer, enabling collaborative, contactless inspections. This allows 24/7 access to the datasets from anywhere in the world. Thanks to multi-temporal data sets, the datasets can reflect the current as-built condition within just a few hours.

MAPPING &
MEASURING
MADE EASY

Our advanced 3D Viewer allows for highly accurate measurements, enabling detailed visual inspections. Beyond simple visual assessments, the platform supports semi-automated analyses such as deviation maps and clash detections, comparing the planned versus the as-built conditions. This feature is essential for identifying discrepancies and areas of wear, ensuring the ongoing preservation and maintenance of cultural assets.

TRACK AND
MANAGE RISKS,
TASKS & ISSUES

The Viewer also offers robust tools for annotating defects and risks, providing a comprehensive system for managing potential issues. Annotations are tracked over time, allowing for consistent monitoring and management. These records are compliant with local regulations and ISO standards, and can be exported in paper format for thorough and reliable documentation to preserve the integrity of the building.
